about

Over a few glasses of whiskey and a bottle or two of beer, the album “Biscuits & Dog Days” was first talked about in the fall of 2010 between good friends Matt Frye and Jon Hildenstein. What started off as a two or three song demo and later grew into a benefit recovery project which ended up including 4 new songs, 6 talented musicians, artist, producers and a lot of lose ends and headaches. Oh, and, of course, one broken leg. So here I am one year later with the finished EP “Biscuits & Dog Days”. Thank you to all my Fans, Friends and Family.

about

Matt Frye New York

"The troubadour Matt Frye, who is from North Carolina and who now lives in Brooklyn, can be found playing cafés in far corners of the borough, which has become as great an influence on his music as his home state has been. The collision between Southern ways and big-city life produces gritty, quirky songs, sung with a breezy lilt."
